Tibetan rope incense was traditionally made by monks living in monasteries and is prepared in the tradition of the Monastic Orders of Tibet. They craft the incense by hand through a process that involves bundling the ingredients in a special hand prepared rice paper, then rolling and twisting it into a small, braided rope.
Sandalwood is a sweet, earthy, and soft scent that can help with grounding, relaxation, and calmness.
Most incense are in stick form that stand upright or in a holder, however rope incense is normally burned either lying flat on a bed of ash, or in a miniature cast iron cauldron in bundles.
