The descent into the underground is no stranger to the great Persephone. The bud vase made by local Pittsburgh artist, Stephanie Flom, is a nod to the Great Goddess. The pomegrante as a sacred symbol for death, resurrection, fertility, and the blood of life. Often given by the Greeks as a gift of housewarming + abundance. It was seen as a symbol of good fortune.
